How to Enable a Digital Product Passport Button

  1. Open your experience in Passport Builder and select the main landing page.
  2. Add a button element or click an existing button.
  3. In the button settings, set the action type to Digital Product Passport.
  4. Click on the DPP action configuration panel.
  5. Enable the Materials section toggle to show material composition data.
  6. Enable the Certificates section toggle to display sustainability certificates.
  7. Enable the Traceability section toggle to show supply chain journey steps.
  8. Configure the display order of DPP sections if reordering is supported.
  9. Set the button label (e.g., "Learn more", "Product Passport", or "Sustainability").
  10. Style the button — set background color, text color, and border radius.
  11. Add a DPP icon to the button for recognition.
  12. Preview the experience and click the DPP button.
  13. Verify the DPP overlay opens correctly.
  14. Confirm the Materials section shows the correct product composition.
  15. Confirm the Certificates section displays linked certificates.
  16. Confirm the Traceability section shows supply chain steps.
  17. Test with multiple products to ensure DPP data updates dynamically.
  18. Click Save to finalize the DPP button configuration.
