How to Assign an Action to an Item

Open your experience in Passport Builder and select a button or hotspot element.
Open the Actions panel in the element settings.
Click Add Action and choose the action type from the dropdown.
Select Navigate to page to link to a custom page.
Choose the target page from the list of available custom pages.
Alternatively, select Open DPP to trigger the Digital Product Passport overlay.
Configure the Materials section within the DPP action.
Configure the Traceability section to show supply chain steps.
Configure the Certificates section to display linked certificates.
Select Open URL to link to an external resource.
Enter the target URL and choose whether it opens in a new tab.
Select Show tooltip for informational hotspots and enter the tooltip text.
Select Expand section to toggle a collapsible content panel.
Configure the expandable panel content.
Preview the experience and test each action by clicking the elements.
Verify Navigate to page opens the correct custom page.
Verify Open DPP shows the correct passport sections.
Verify Open URL navigates to the external link.
Verify Show tooltip displays the configured tooltip.
Verify Expand section toggles the panel correctly.
Test all actions with multiple products to ensure they work dynamically.
Adjust any action configurations that don't behave as expected.
Ensure all interactive elements have appropriate visual affordances (hover states, icons).
Confirm all button labels are clear and action-oriented.
Click Save to finalize all action configurations.
